Green Gable socks

£6.50

A simple but effective slip-stitch pattern gives a striking mock cable effect (without the hassle). The pattern is easy to memorise and results in a subtly textured fabric which is suitable for either gender - no lace here! Additional texture comes from the Eye of Partridge heel flap - beautiful and practical.

This cuff down pattern is written for the magic loop technique of circular knitting but could be easily adapted for other methods.

In case you were wondering: Green Gable is a beautiful mountain in England’s Lake District. Situated in the Wasdale valley, it is often overlooked by walkers in favour of the larger, craggier neighbouring mountains, but the walk to the summit is a rewarding one and the views (weather permitting) are even more so.

Yarn: Sockweight/fingering weight yarn
